The problem is not new.

The 9/11 Commission found that the attacks succeeded in part because critical information was overclassified, siloed, and unreachable by the professionals and leaders who needed it. Two decades on, neither government nor industry has resolved it. The systems that hold the nation's most consequential information still make it hardest to use.

That is the problem Kleos Labs was founded to work on, and the reason all three platforms share one architecture: the barrier is rarely a single tool. It is that authority, classification, and operational awareness are each maintained separately, by hand, and reconciled only when someone asks.

The founder

Kleos Labs was founded by Melissa Williams, a data scientist and technology executive with more than thirty years developing mission-critical solutions across defense, intelligence, and commercial sectors. Her background includes leadership roles in the U.S. Army and JSOC, the Intelligence Community, DARPA, and the White House, where she specialized in solving complex data, cybersecurity, and operational challenges.

She built and grew a services company over ten years before exiting it, and founded Kleos Labs to build products rather than deliver engagements — on the view that these problems recur across every organization that faces them, and should be solved once.

Why the name

Kleos is the ancient Greek word for the honor earned through consequential deeds — the reputation that outlives the person who earned it. It was the warrior's standard, and it is ours: we expect to be measured by what we deliver for the mission, not by what we claim.
